WE THREE KINGS
We Three Kings is a multi-media performance installation in development.
It is inspired by the stories of local artist Joey Bonhage and documented interviews with people rebuilding their homes, businesses and lives in southern Louisiana post-Katrina. It is an examination of New Orleans at this moment in history by visual artists, filmmakers, documentarians, writers and performers that integrates the voices of real people in the community within a narrative folktale about the Mississippi River and its relationship to the people living along it throughout history.
MOUTH is a Fundraiser to support the continuing development of the We Three Kings performance.
The piece has received multiple workshops in New Orleans since Dec 2007 and at the Fusebox Festival in Austin Texas in April of 08.

AS A SIDENOTE: The creators of We Three Kings have been an invaluable part of getting NoLA Rising to New York where we held a festival showcasing New Orleans themed performance by New Orleans artists and actors. We were able to raise $1,000 for New Orleans Young Audiences. Without their help, we couldn't have brought a piece of the Big Easy to the Big Apple. NoLA Rising will always move forward with projects that showcase the New Orleans artistic spirit and we proudly support We Three Kings in their endeavors!
