This year's ReUse Project 3 includes the cooperation of over 100 independent public artists (local and international). The art activist exhibition hopes to raise global awareness of abandoned and neglected spaces, by reusing one abandoned location in central Tel Aviv-Yafo and broadcasting the art show to international media sources and around the world via the internet. Artist Inc participating in New Orleans Fringe Festival
Artist Inc. participates with the New Orleans Fringe Festival with
Un Route ~ an old fashioned, new world, troubadours rolling into town show.
A variety of artists gather for a multimedia, cabaret, performance art extravaganza ~ including theater, dance, film, circus, music, burlesque, magic, fire, visual art installations, audience participation and a throw down party!
Un Route, produced by Artist Inc, in participation with the New Orleans Fringe Festival, sponsored by Michalopoulos, Old New Orleans Rum, Abita Beer, Lucid Absinthe and the Faubourg Marigny Improvement Association, will be presented on November 14th, doors open at 9pm so audiences may view the visual art installations before the show starts, show begins at 10pm, at the Michalopoulos Studio, 527 Elysian Fields between Charters and Decatur streets.
Tickets are only $7, plus $3 Fringe Fest button.

A Thank You Note
Best Bite on NoLA Rising yet...
Friends and Extended Family-
Ordinarily the site of the above sticker may have solicited some short-sighted response from me, but alas, I think it's kinda great. Someone cares enough to take a bite at the NoLA Rising Family. Welcome to the club, get your membership card at the back of the room.
However, I'm not writing to blast anyone for their humor or jealousy today, but to say thank you all who came out to the opening Saturday night. I hope that there was entertainment enough for everyone. For opening night, we officially cashed a case of champagne, two cases of wine, twelve plus cases of beer and various bottles and sundries that came our way. In the end, fifteen or so pieces sold, we got to see the lovely Bella Blue perform her Bring Out the Clowns number, and enjoyed the tasty treats of Melissa Levine and Andrea Butson while listening to DJ Stress. According to a knowledgeable source and an avid counter of things, we had about 250 people throughout the night. Most importantly, however, is that everyone got to have fun and pass a good time.
Again, Rex salutes everyone who came to support and who voiced support from afar. It has always been humbling how supportive our community of friends and artists have been and I appreciate that. Thank you all again!
The show will remain up through November 28th for anyone who didn't get out on the opening night. The gallery (Coup D'Oeil) is open by appointment and also from 1030 to 6, Wednesday thru Saturday and from 1-6 on Sundays. To see more of the show, CLICK HERE

THE DINGLERIZATION OF AMERICA AT COUP D’OEIL
Rex Dingler believes that the will of the people is the force of life and that philosophy follows into his upcoming exhibit, The Dinglerization of America. Heralded as the street artist who founded NoLA Rising, a project that delivered messages of hope across New Orleans in post-Katrina months, Rex quickly spread his message of renewal, rebirth and faith to over 30 countries.
Rex now presents the Dinglerization of America, a unique show of paintings and sketches that deliver insight into his philosophy of art as a facilitator of social justice. This body of work is an urban commentary meant to engage the viewer with cityscapes while advocating reflection of the soul of a city.
The pieces for the show are a departure from the mediums that Mr. Dingler has used in the past and is a marked change in style and form. His use of oil is an organic approach that combines elemental designs with detailed pattern scratching to reveal the concealed under-painting. The patterns scratched into the cityscapes reveal the unique individuality and architecture of the buildings, while indicating the personal symbology of the artist. Each painting has alternating patterns that hold symbols, words and cryptic messages.
The opening will be at Coup D’ Oeil Art Consortium at 2033 Magazine Street in the Lower Garden District on Sautrday, November 7th from 6 to 10 p.m.
As part of the opening, there will be a collaborative video installation by Crista Rock, burlesque performance by Bella Blue of Fleur de Tease, and interactive food installation by northshore artist Melissa Levine and music by DJ Stress.
